"My baby sister really DOES love me!"

When we first brought Erin home, Emma was a little enamored by her, but it wasn’t long before that fascination turned into more of an aggravation. At first she didn’t like all the attention Erin got from us and then Erin became a major source of irritation when she began getting into all of “Emma’s stuff”. Just when it seemed that Emma began to like Erin, Erin didn’t seem to really like Emma. Of course I can’t really blame her, since she was usually pushed over, plowed down or dragged around whenever Emma was near. That would make me a little timid too!! But lately (2 ½ years later) they are sharing a lot more “mutual” play time. Emma has become very protective over her baby sis and Erin always wants to know, “Where’s Emma?” This morning while all 4 of us are piled into our bed, Erin WANTS to lie next to Emma and they wrap their arms around each other and just lay there. Emma turns to me and says, “My baby sister really DOES love me!” Too cute! And then Erin sits up and very seriously says, “TAKE A PICTURE!” Too funny!!
