Disney World - April 2009

So we took our first trip to Disney World at the end of April. I was thinking we would wait one more year until the girls were 4 & 6, but then I found out my BFF of 30 years (Jolie) was coming to Orlando with her husband (Jason) and their 4 year old daughter (Jesse)...and so the plans began to form!! We went during a great time of year - right after spring break ended and right before summer vacations start! The lines were short and the weather was clear and warm (but not too hot)! We couldn't have asked for nicer days! Although we had a lot of fun, we learned that you can't move real fast through a Disney theme park with 3 small children! We spent 2 days at Magic Kingdom, a 1/2 day at Hollywood Studios and a 1/2 day at Epcot. There was so much we didn't see and the time just flew by! The girls got dolled up at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique one day and that was so cute! We also had breakfast with the Princesses the last day we were there and Jesse and Emma almost came out of their skin with excitement. We also broke our camera on day 2 and therefore have VERY limited photos to share. Jolie promises to send me some of hers when she gets a chance and I will try to post them later. For me the trip was surreal, as Jolie and I vacationed many, many summers with our Moms and siblings growing up -- and it was just so heartwarming for me to think that now we are the Moms vacationing with our families and our kids playing together!! That is something worth treasuring and makes me get a little sappy just thinking about!
